I made this a while back. Done in photoshop 7 with a wacom graphire 2 tablet.
Total time about 1hour. I used a reference to get the likeness of the girl down.
The image reminds me of a shampoo commercial on TV where the lady gets out of the shower and her hair is shining and she has a smile on her face like she is in "paradise."
Sorry that I did not update my blog. I was busy moving things around the house and I was also working on a web comic on drunkduck.com. Looks like I am not gonna finish the webcomic but I am coming up with another webcomic idea. A better one at that.
I also added a new music track to the blog. Just click on the text chocolate ramen noodle at the top of the page.

New page logo and Photoshop brush tutorial

Here is the new top page logo. I may have made it too big.
Click on the image to enlargre

The top image is a realistic looking type of brush in photoshop.
Click to enlarge the image then save the image on your computer.
Open up photoshop and open up the image is a new document.
Then select all (control+a) then go to the top and select.....
EDIT > DEFINE BRUSH.
Now name the brush whatever you want.
Then open up your brush options and adjust the spacing of the brush to something like 25 and lower.
Then add whatever other options that you add to your brushes.
After that save the brush preset so you do not loose your settings on the brush.
And happy painting.

Used a pentel .05 pencil and printer paper.
I payed to much for the pencil. Nver buy pencils and pens from Walgreens.
The same products are cheaper at wal-mart.
I bought the same designed pencil but it is .07 pentel at half the price.
I have to get back to doing this kind of sturr ot counter act my toon style.

Totoal time to make this was about 40 mins.
A luxury ship made to style and profile while saving your local galaxy.
Luxury doesn't mean a loss of speed either. This baby can boldly go where no man has gone before.
Top speed is Mach 1000. Lol.
Capatin Kirk would pee in his pants if he wanted to beef with this ship.
This is my first time rendering something in 3d.

It started off looking like the tie fighter from Star Wars

I only used to brushes a custom pastel and a custom made pallete knife.
Both brushes were made from scratch.
No reference was used.
The lighting of the apple is off some.
Total time 25 minustes.
I was watching the world series while painting this.
The top one is the finished version.
The bottom one is the Remixed textured version.
I managed to get that John Singer Sargent look in photoshop lol.

My day was fine but now it is turning into poop.
Trying to find it I turned over the couch.

Hello friends this is what I like to call Poetry with Pusha V. I know I know this is what you guys have been waiting for. You dreams have come true and no it is not a nightmare. Every once in a while I will drop a poem like cold fries in hot grease. Hehe sit back and enjoy. (Sorry No art right now lol. I am currently sketching.I will post some art soon like tomorrow.)

Why is there air?
Do I need it so I can eat my pear?

Do I need it in order to chase a mouse who is small?

Your eyes are not going bad. The bluryness came from a custom brush in photoshop and I never tested it on an actural picture before until now.
What is goning on- An enemy drone warrior is lost in the forest and the videogame monster (in the background with the baloon) in creeping up on him and is going for the kill.
P.s. I also posted this as my concept fpr my contest piece on cgtalk.

Another painting. I was freestyling on this painting at first and laying down some bizzare brush strokes. The 3rd in like a 5 hr time span. I must stay loose on my art. I tend to want my stuff to be too perfect. I am noticing that when I do not care as much when I paint, the painting turns out better. Artrage is a free program that is used like traditional painting. There are no layers in Artrage so painting is a challenge. I went for a more expressive look that is easy to gain using artrage. Go ahead and smell the flowers! :)

(Materials used wooden hb no.2 pencil and a Mead brand sketchbook(Mead sketch book papers are waaay better than the bargin sketch book paper which doesn't scan well. Too bad that I filled up both of my mead sketch books. I have 2 other ones that i need to feel up but the paper quality is not as good.)
..............With a Tellos sketch. Tellos was a comicbook created by Mike Wieringo. I posted this a lot time ago (like 2-3years) on another forum and it just so happen that Mike saw the picture and told me that it was and excellent sketch. Who cool is that when a well known comicbook creator gives you props. You can catch Mike on his new project Neighborhood Firendly Spider-Man from Marvel comics.

I solved the problem of why my picture did not upload. Painter 7 saves jpegs as .JPG with jpg being in all caps. I renamed the file and put the capital .JPG in lowercase letters".jpg"
This was the same pic as below but this time I added more to the picture in painter7
